Amass, the Android client for Music Assistant, has rebranded to “Assistant to the Music” since this was written.
A reddit user pointed out the previous Amass logo looked like it spelled “All Ass”
At least all ass would fit his statement:
Why would you publish an app that you have no idea of what it is doing.
Using LLMs is not wrong. Spreading stuff you don’t understand is wrong. It’s just like below. It sounds awesome but it’s full of shit.
A lot of the new projects I’ve seen have been written by AI. Which is frustrating because they do look cool but I ain’t installing it.
I understand your problem. Someone who can’t understand code can’t fix a bug or security hole. You have my respect for resisting.
Yeah, I’m not fond of how many open-source and homelab projects are starting to proudly wear the fact they’re just vibe-coded AI slop poured into a trenchcoat, but at least their declaration of the fact is better than pretending they did it themselves.
Sorry, what does this have to do with the post? I tried to find references to it but couldn’t, and now I am confused.
Amass was one of the listed projects under the “New Software” section of the post. It has already changed project name to Assistant-to-the-Music.
Ah, right! I didn’t scroll past the Newswire-section because my brain parsed it as a “Related articles”-section with links to previous posts. I am no longer confused!
Just tried bentopdf, and lot of things are missing Like
Just went back to struggling with pandoc
