Additionally: where can I get something like that in #London ?

@a @selfhosted I've used a pi zero. An Apple TV has pretty good power management, so might be a lower average draw for Tailscale.

@jws @selfhosted thanks! Maybe I should give some context: I’m trying to set up a Tailscale client at a family member’s house here in London, so I don’t want to spend a lot of money

How much throughput do you need? The Pi Zero 2w will be fine on a DSL or cable connection, but it will limit your bandwidth on fiber.

@cmnybo @selfhosted enough to watch a movie? TBH I don’t need a pi zero, it was just an example of low power devices,

The Pi Zero 2w will provide more than enough performance to stream a movie over Wireguard.

@cmnybo @selfhosted ok, now I need to find one while I’m in the UK 🤪

@selfhosted As a conclusion: #raspberrypi zero w 2 with headless raspberryOS and tailscale + headscale works perfectly fine :-D
