As in, “She wouldn’t hurt a fly. She’s as sweet as canned beans.” I don’t understand. I think some beans are sweet, like bbq baked beans. But I feel like most aren’t, they’re either savory or just vegetabley.

I have never heard this expression.
Me neither, honestly.
DO people say this? I mean. I’ve never heard it. It’s about as odd of an expression as “weird as a government stapler”.
Which as you know is a super popular expression that I totally didn’t make up just now as I typed it…
Who says that?
I’ve never heard this expression.
I have never heard this before in my life
People always tell me I’m a cool as tartar sauce. Idk that’s what they say
“as sweet as can be”?
I think that might be it.
Bone apple tea.
Can we have /c/assweetascannedbeans as lemmy’s counterpart to reddot’s /r/boneappletea?
We have a winner
As sweet as canned beans… 😭
Yep
You legend.
I see you.
Almost had me.
But I see you
And I respect the game
I just lost the game
Same reason they say bone apple tea
