Nodded off maybe?

marighost@piefed.social on 05 Mar 03:21 collapse

Looks like he nodded off, to me.

may_be@thelemmy.club on 05 Mar 03:23 collapse

agree with this!

Except for being literate and able to write, presidential.

Asafum@lemmy.world on 05 Mar 02:55 next collapse

That’s a tough one because there isn’t an expression there at all, it’s almost completely “blank” or neutral. There isn’t anything that would hint towards enjoyment to say it’s peaceful or even calm. It seems almost like a deep sleep, I might even describe it as “a sleep so deep they were devoid of expression.”

Ahhh yes and he was lightly snoring too

This would be a light snore, right??

“A light snore escaped him. He was in a sleep so deep he was completely devoid of expression.”

Asafum@lemmy.world on 05 Mar 03:10 collapse

Yeah that sounds pretty light lol

I’m definitely not a writer, but “Fallen into a deep sleep, his face expressionless, a light snore escaped (escapes?) him” sounds nice to me.

I envy your confidence in writing! Every time I tried I get like 2 sentences down and immediately think “who the fuck am I to be writing something thinking anyone should even care to read this?” Lol

may_be@thelemmy.club on 05 Mar 03:13 next collapse

Same honestly but I love thinking about writing!!! Thanks!!

What’s Larry’s expression?

may_be@thelemmy.club on 05 Mar 03:14 next collapse

Maybe he’d be “weary”

Asafum@lemmy.world on 05 Mar 03:23 collapse

Or disinterested, bored, depending on the greater context even possibly dejected. Weary works too though

WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world on 05 Mar 03:43 collapse

I can’t decide if he is sighing or sobbing

may_be@thelemmy.club on 05 Mar 11:19 collapse

He is sleeping but very tired

pseudo@jlai.lu on 05 Mar 03:08 next collapse

Cleary demonstrating his inability to stop work and seek rest.

Yes

EndOfLine@lemmy.world on 05 Mar 03:17 next collapse

In a single word? I’d probably go with “vacant”

may_be@thelemmy.club on 05 Mar 03:18 collapse

Oooo i like that!

electric_nan@lemmy.ml on 05 Mar 03:18 next collapse

Somnolent?

Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world on 05 Mar 03:32 next collapse

That, or lethargic, or catatonic

southsamurai@sh.itjust.works on 05 Mar 06:58 collapse

That was my exact thought :)
