Beer with tomato juice.

sopularity_fax@sopuli.xyz on 11 Nov 19:09 collapse

Is that a thang?

A_Union_of_Kobolds@lemmy.world on 11 Nov 19:20 next collapse

Oh absolutely. Typically you use a lager. Good on a hot day. Doesn’t need a ton of juice.

It’s been a long time since I bartended, I wanna say it was called a Lunchbox

Adorable

There’s also the Michelada

Apologies for all the bullshit at the start, it’s kinda typical these days

Sitting on a friend’s courtyard on the evening of a very hot day, being served very well chilled gazpacho, talking this and that while playing a game domino.

That’s a mental scenery I used to love!

Chilled soups sound dope. I even like that chilled cuccumber soup from tge Lemony Snicket books

Tuuktuuk@piefed.ee on 11 Nov 22:44 collapse

It’s a “soup” you drink from a drinking glass :)

Pizza smoothie.

Mix some sort of marinara purée with a liquid cheese sauce, some puréed toppings if you like, and add tapioca pearls. (Two months unable to eat solid foods as a teen made me… creative.. I didn’t have the tapioca pearls then but that would provide the starch for pizza crust)

Alternatively, a Bloody Mary is pretty close if it has all the funky toppings (often including a cheese stick and breadsticks), but I’m not sure that would count since the bread and cheese aren’t drinkable.

sopularity_fax@sopuli.xyz on 11 Nov 19:18 collapse

I was actually gonna say bloody mary. One of the few savoury alcoholic beverages, at least as far as I am aware of

A_Union_of_Kobolds@lemmy.world on 11 Nov 19:31 collapse

One of the only drinks I miss, as a sober alcoholic. Virgin Marys just aren’t the same. I used Absolut Peppar, it was excellent.

Tomato soup with dumplings and a sprinkle of mozzarella on top.

or a crouton with mozz & basil like a french onion soup

djsoren19@lemmy.blahaj.zone on 11 Nov 20:28 next collapse

okay but let’s go in a different direction: how would you make drinkable pizza? what’s the line for drinkable, because I think consistency-wise it’d have to be close to bread pudding. what kinda cheese could you use?

MajorMajormajormajor@lemmy.ca on 11 Nov 22:13 next collapse

All I have to ask is: who hurt you op? The dough is the best part of pizza, why you gotta put this blurst image in my head!?

I’ve had bariatric surgery. I’ve done this. Everything but the crust goes in a blender. Use more sauce and fewer toppings. Actually good for protein, between the cheese and the meat.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Jones Soda had made a pizza flavor.
