No, but every canopy helps cool the ground, retain water, and deep roots help bring nutrients up and produce softer soil for other plants’ roots.

So, not every canopy has its grove, especially for trees that evolved seeds that tend to travel far, but nigh every canopy produces positive results around it!

… Depending on what the other plant species in that canopy want, of course, as some plants love direct sunlight, but most plants cannot live in an open field and need help retaining water, cannot handle full daylight, need protection from wind, etc.
