How do people juggle having loads of alts?

I have 2 alts on other instances because reports don’t federate yet, how do I keep this all organised?

You basically never have to login.
The cookie are good for like a year.
Just use… a bookmark?

I meant checking inboxes and reports.

I only have 3 (plus an account I only use for development/testing), but I use a client that allows multiple profiles on different instances.

Since reports still don’t federate across instances, I switch to my two alts every so often to check for reports and then switch back to my main.

The hosted instances of Tesseract and Photon allow multiple profiles on different instances, though most instances that deploy those themselves opt to lock them to their instance (though you can still have multiple profiles, just not on different instances). You can also host them yourself and run them ‘unlocked’.

I don’t like app apps and prefer web apps in most cases, so I’m not sure which have similar multi-profile features, but I’m sure at least some do. Check out lemmyapps.com to sort by feature/platform.

Connect for lemmy has account switching and will show you notifications on each account. The annoying part is if you see a post and you want to switch you have to manually find that post again.
