Just tested rolling my eyes around. Absolutely nothing happened. Wasn’t even hard or any discomfort, so i doubt that it causes any harm.

In certain eye conditions, probably. When your eye is infected you want to move it as little as possible.

Edit: well, “dangerous” is a strong word.

I would stick to rolling them on a clean, smooth surface. Try to avoid concrete, and asphalt.

About the only situation I can think of is if you have an object stuck in your eye. We immobilize the eye as best as we can when penetrating injuries occur.

Perhaps you could imagine some really far out scenarios that might potentially happen, like a blood vessel that is somehow inflamed and moving your eye would cause trauma to it… but I don’t think I can recall a situation like that ever being described.
