Apparently allergy shots are covered to help develop practical immunity to your allergy profile so looking into that recently
Also liquid calorie and nutrient replacement can be prescribed and covered saved me from actual starvation in the past

I live in the us, so been denied coverage for all kinds of things.
Waited months for permission to get a new medication after going through 5 or 6 rounds of prior authorization.
Paid more in premiums every year.
Gotten less for said premiums every year.
Had to pray I could remember all my ailments when I started a new job.
Had to prove that I’d had insurance coverage the entire time I’d had said ailments.
Those last two finally aren’t a thing anymore.
So yeah, all kinds of cool shit.
Its literaly criminal what y’all have to put up with. I would lose my fucking mind having to appeal all this shit. Our healthcare system is my bitch, it does what I ask for and gives me whatever I decided on and came for
Not much, really.
Which I guess is a lot cooler than the bullshit people like @AnarchoSnowPlow@midwest.social have to deal with…
I had a vasectomy. Only paid a copay or something that was like $50. (Don’t remember exactly)
Best purchase ever.
This was in the US with normal work-provided insurance.
Is there something you can get so you dont jizz anymore? Vasectomy = blanks jizz but is there some way to cut out the middleman and only orgasm without all the mess?
Not that I know of
No
Acupuncture
Live. Can’t work anymore thanks to !myalgicencephalomyelitis@lemmy.blahaj.zone so now three different insurances are covering me and my family’s expenses.
Do they totally cover your income etc?
Probably. I don’t have the brains to keep track of everything, my wife and my father did all the paperwork. And we don’t really know if and how taxes fit into everything. But especially thanks to my occupational disability insurance it should be enough.
I lived in Haiti for three years. When I returned, I went to the doctor and got dewormed right away (intestinal parasites). Later in the week, I went to reapply for national health coverage. I showed them my SIN. They said, okay, you’re back on. I told them about the earlier doctor’s visit. They said no problem, and backdated the coverage. I really took our national health plan for granted until I lived in a country without. It’s an awesome thing.
Had sudden cardiac arrest. Spent two weeks in care got an ICU put in. Never paid a dime. Kind of nice.
