What will middle east countries that make all their money from oil do if/when demand dries up?

They’re already pushing hard on renewables.
What if not fast enough?
They don’t need to think fast. Some experts say we have up to 50 years of oil left. Middle eastern countries only think of short term profits.
Finally have some peace from being invaded and murdered?
Though very probably, the U.S. would find yet another reason to keep genociding them. If oil was out of the picture (and, mind you, it seems to me very unlikely that’ll happen any time in even the remotely distant foreseeable future), it’s very plausible the U.S. would launch crusades 2.0 and keep killing them in the name of Jebus. Or keep killing them because “terrorism”. Or make up a whole new reason to keep killing them.
Rent out quaint summer vacation homes. Much like people in Maine do now, 100 years after the whale oil industry became obsolete.
It’s why Dubai is trying to become some sort of hot travel destination.
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to go there, but it seems to be working on some people.
