They don’t need to think fast. Some experts say we have up to 50 years of oil left. Middle eastern countries only think of short term profits.

Though very probably, the U.S. would find yet another reason to keep genociding them. If oil was out of the picture (and, mind you, it seems to me very unlikely that’ll happen any time in even the remotely distant foreseeable future), it’s very plausible the U.S. would launch crusades 2.0 and keep killing them in the name of Jebus. Or keep killing them because “terrorism”. Or make up a whole new reason to keep killing them.

It’s why Dubai is trying to become some sort of hot travel destination.

I can’t imagine why anyone would want to go there, but it seems to be working on some people.
