Found lost elderly dog in hills between Riverside and Moreno Valley

I found this poor blind senior terrier(?) yesterday in the hills above the Riverside STEM Academy (at 33.966189, -117.309286).

He had a hard time walking, so I had to carry him back to my car and at one point peed blood on me, so I believe he’s pretty ill. 😞

None of the neighbors I talked to knew him, and animal control had me bring him to the emergency vet in Grand Terrace. The vet couldn’t find a chip, but I’m really hoping that this guy wasn’t dumped and can be reunited with his owner!

I’ve also posted him on lost pet sites and other social media, hoping to find his owners!

Good luck! If you don’t find an owner, do you think you’ll let him stay with you? Such a sweet-looking old puppy.

I sadly can’t, the older of my two cats is terrified of dogs and it would stress her out something awful to have one in the house 😔

And I’m afraid that this old guy might be on his last legs. He really didn’t like me touching his butt and peed blood on me when I carried him out of the hills. If they do have to put him down, then at least I know he spent his time somewhere safe and warm rather than freezing out in this rain and getting eaten by coyotes.

Oh man, I had the same situation, but with an abandoned cat. I totally understand.
